A brand new entry in the Star Wars franchise has joined Disney Plus' growing catalogue of originals, with the miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi now streaming on the exclusive home of Star Wars content.
Obi-Wan Kenobi sees Ewan McGregor reprise the title role again after portraying the Jedi master in the prequel trilogy, appearing in The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
The six-part series will take place ten years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, and will also see Hayden Christensen returning to the series as Anakin Skywalker and iconic villain Darth Vader.

WATCH OBI-WAN KENOBI ON DISNEY+
The first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi were made available on Friday May 27 are now available to stream on Disney+, with the next four episodes releasing weekly on Wednesdays from June 1 until the finale on June 22.
If you're not already a Disney+ subscriber you can sign up to the streaming service for £7.99 a month, or £79.90 for a full year, which works out cheaper if you're in it for the long term.
Unfortunately Disney+ doesn't currently offer a free trial, but you may be able to save some money if your mobile network is O2, as they offer six months of Disney+ free for upgrading and new customers. If you're not looking to upgrade, you can still add Disney+ to your plan and they'll give you £2 off your monthly bill.

As always, Disney are keeping plot details scarce, but the official synopsis reads "During the reign of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a crucial mission. Kenobi must confront allies turned enemies and face the wrath of the Empire."
The series cast also includes a returning Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars, while Bonnie Piesse stars as his wife Beru Whitesun Lars, with Moses Ingram, Rupert Friend, Sung Kang, Kumail Nanjiani, O'Shea Jackson Jr and more also starring.

Disney+ is the exclusive home to all Star Wars content, including every film, show, animation and special from the franchise, including the recently released The Book of Boba Fett.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of many planned Star Wars spin-offs getting the TV series treatment, with other announced projects including Andor, Ahsoka, The Acolyte, Lando and The Mandalorian season 3.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is now streaming on Disney+ with new episodes releasing weekly on Wednesdays.
