Adam Devine has confirmed he’s finished filming on the upcoming Pitch Perfect TV series, which follows the adventures of his character, Bumper Allen.

Pitch Perfect first launched in cinemas back in 2012, with Anna Kendrick leading the cast, and there has since been to two sequels. However, in case you didn't hear, the movie franchise is now heading to the small screen with a spin-off following on from the events of the film trilogy.

Devine recently took to Instagram to share an update on the new series with fans. The actor shared a snap of himself posing with some co-stars and revealed the spin-off will be called Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.

He also went on to brand showrunner Megan Amram a "comedy Queen" and commend the work of some of the series directors.

The new series is set to follow the adventures of Bumper as he attempts to revive his music career. He takes a leap of faith by moving to Europe after one of his songs suddenly becomes popular in Berlin.

Bumper is then invited to the German city by Pieter Krämer (Borg), who is now a music manager and signs Bumper as his sole client.

The series is executive produced by Pitch Perfect icon Elizabeth Banks, who famously starred in the franchise and directed the second film.

Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin is yet to receive an official release date, but hopefully fans won’t have to wait too long to watch the ear-worm filled show. Jamil recently teased on Instagram that fans can expect it to arrive "later this year".

Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin will air on Peacock in the US.
