Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler has stated that she is more than ready for a series reboot or revival.

The much-loved sitcom ran between 2009 and 2015, and the Leslie Knope actress thinks it's high time for more.

Appearing at the premiere of Russian Doll season 2, which she co-created, Poehler told People that she is "always standing by", stating: "Anytime anybody gives me the word, I'm down."

The actress told the same publication earlier this year that she recently watched all of Parks and Rec with her sons in lockdown, as they had never seen it before, while the cast answered a call to reunite for a virtual special in less than an hour, so it's no wonder that she is so keen for a revival.

The show's creator Michael Schur said shortly after the 2020 reunion special that he is open to the idea, stating: "Well, I guess I'll say what I said last time, which was: I'll never say never.

"Again, I really didn't think [the virtual special] was ever going to happen. But also suddenly it became a fun and neat thing to do. I have no idea. What was delightful and abundantly clear based on this experience is that the bat signal can go up for this group of people and they will answer the call. So, if there is another compelling reason to do this at some point down the road, then maybe it'll happen again."
