Russian Doll spoilers follow.
Russian Doll is back for season two with the addition of some new faces, particularly Schitt's Creek star Annie Murphy.
Co-creator and star Natasha Lyonne, who plays Nadia Vulvokov, has now spoken about working with the actor and had nothing but praise for Murphy and her work.
Speaking to E! News, Lyonne explained the decision to cast Murphy and how she was a perfect fit for the show.
"Annie has a real heart to her. It's very easy to love Annie," she said. "Obviously that has to do with who she is as a human being. With some people, sometimes the camera lies like crazy and you find out people are total jerks."

Murphy's character Ruth Brenner is integral to Nadia's journey and backstory throughout season two, making it crucial for the casting to be correct.
"Who wouldn't want to be with Annie Murphy?" Lyonne added. "In the meantime, she looks like Jane Fonda or something in the '70s.
"She looks great, she looks straight out of a [Martin] Scorsese movie. She was just terrific."
Season two of Russian Doll follows Nadia after she escapes the loop which was causing her to relive her death alongside Alan Zaveri (Charlie Barnett). Now free of the loop, Nadia finds herself travelling through time.

Lyonne described season two as an opportunity to explore existential themes which have been on her mind for years. "I've spent a lot of time, obviously, in therapy and, in many ways, I'm curious about all these questions, about the nature of free will," she said.
"I became really obsessed with this idea of 'the arrow of time.' The question of 'Why is it that we can remember the past, but we can't remember the future?' Probably thanks to too many psychedelics in high school."
Russian Doll seasons one and two are available to stream now on Netflix.
