Jared Padalecki's Walker has found a new partner in American Gods' Ashley Reyes following the exit of The 100 star Lindsey Morgan.

Deadline reports that Reyes has joined The CW show as a series regular and will make her debut in 'Nudge', an episode airing on March 3.

In October last year, the actress shared a statement to discuss her departure from the show.

"After much thoughtful consideration and introspection, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to step away from my role as Micki Ramirez on Walker for personal reasons, and I am eternally grateful to have the support of the producers, CBS studios and The CW in allowing me to do so," she said.

"The opportunity to play Micki has truly been a blessing, as has working alongside the incredible cast and crew of this terrific series. Please know that I will continue to root for my TV family and wish them all the best," she continued.

Padalecki expressed his support to Morgan, saying: "Lindsey is a wonderful person, inside and out. I am proud of, and grateful for, her work on Walker. Moreover, I'm honoured to consider her a friend."

Morgan appeared in a number of episodes of season two, with her character Micki moving to San Antonio to restart her life after a bad undercover job in the mid-season finale, 'Douglas Fir', aired on December 9.

Walker airs on The CW in the US. It has yet to confirm a UK air date.
