James Gunn has given fans an update on the UK release date for TV series Peacemaker, confirming that he is still working on bringing it across the pond.
The director is overseeing the spin-off of The Suicide Squad, which focuses on John Cena's character Christopher Smith after the events of the movie.
While US fans will get to watch the series from next week when it premieres on January 13 on HBO Max, details on a UK release have been few and far between.

Responding to one fan asking about when it will be available in the UK, Gunn shared his frustration as he confirmed it will hopefully be available "very soon".
"I am getting this question a hundred times a day," he admitted on Twitter. "@hbomax and I are working on this; it will be on in the UK very soon, but it won't be day and date with the US and much of the rest of the world.

In other Peacemaker news, Gunn recently confirmed that the series will include post-credit scenes in "every episode".
"It's my way to give you guys a little something special for watching the credits of our hardworking crew," he tweeted.
Alongside Cena, the show includes Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, Steve Agee as Economos and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith.
Peacemaker will be released on HBO Max on January 13, 2022 in the US. The Suicide Squad is available to rent now and can be pre-ordered on DVD and Blu-ray.
