Gossip Girl reboot's second half of its first season (otherwise known as 1B) will premiere very, very soon.

Broadcasted via HBO Max in the US and BBC One on UK shores, this popular teen drama officially returns on Thursday, November 25, with five more weekly episodes to follow.

According to Deadline, this fresh material further explores how social media, and the landscape of New York City, has changed since the original show.

Back in August, the reboot's creator Joshua Safran confirmed that though none of the original cast are reprising their characters, some will in fact turn up for cameo appearances here and there.

"There's no series regular from the original coming back. Maybe that's not true, sorry. None of the core five or six kids are in the back half, but there are cameos from original cast members and there are references [to the original].

Meanwhile, Safran did also go on to share how the new generation won't participate in cotillion – like Leighton Meester's Blair Waldorf and Blake Lively's Serena Van Der Woodsen have in times gone by.

"You will not see cotillion this season. I definitely do not rule out cotillion in the future, but this show takes place between September and December.

"And if I recall correctly, when we looked up cotillion, maybe – I don't know why. It didn't fall then, or maybe we just decided not to do it this time around."

Gossip Girl airs on HBO Max in the US, and broadcasts on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK.
