The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 has invited Robert Palmer Watkins back as Lieutenant Frank Newton.
Confirmed by Deadline, Newton's involvement will be expanded this time around after a recurring role in the zombie drama's debut season.
The actor's other TV credits include This Is Us and General Hospital.

Back in April, The Walking Dead's chief content officer Scott Gimple teased how "familiar faces" could crop up in World Beyond's second season.
"It really is about those different worlds, those very different worlds. It will be getting deeper into the CRM as the [season one] finale pretty much indicated," he said.
"We might see familiar faces pop up, it's possible. It's about growing up. This is a two-season show, so these kids have been through a very intense experience where they have to grow up very fast, and we see these characters change quite a bit over the course of these 10 episodes."

As far as Rick Grimes action goes, though, don't be expecting the flagship hero to show up in the spin-off series.
He's got his own movie trilogy on the way.
