The Walking Dead: World Beyond boss Matt Negrete has assured fans that there are "more things to unfold" when it comes to that big reveal at the end of the show's latest episode.
In the horror spin-off's most recent instalment 'The Sky is a Graveyard', fans were shocked to discover that Campus Colony security officer Huck (Annet Mahendru) has been working with Civic Republic Military lieutenant colonel Elizabeth Kublek (Julia Ormond) this whole time.

Now, the showrunner has opened up about their "mother-daughter relationship" and how the entire season has hinted at a link between the unlikely pair.
"I think the thing for the audience to take away from the revelation of who Huck is, is that there really have been clues about how she sees the world and how she operates and how she's willing to do some pretty horrible things for what she believes is the greater good," Negrete told Entertainment Weekly.

"I think that if people want to go back and look at some of the things she said over this whole season, there are definite clues in there that can pinpoint her philosophy of the world," he added.
"It also might re-contextualize the Huck flashbacks we saw in episode 7. There'll be more blanks we'll be filling very soon."
Negrete also urged viewers to think about what the 'dad's watch' reference might mean going forward and how, even if Huck and Kublek aren't biologically related, there's still "a familial connection happening there".
