Rosario Dawson's involvement with The Mandalorian's second season is yet to be 100% confirmed, but she remains hopeful about a dream role.

It was reported last month that the Death Proof actress could be set to portray Star Wars: The Clone Wars character Ahsoka Tano opposite Pedro Pascal's Mandalorian, and now Dawson has shared a little insight with Variety.

"That's not confirmed yet, but when that happens, I will be very happy," she noted.

Expressing her excitement to join the project, Rosario added that it would be "a million and one percent because of the fans".

And what fandom The Mandalorian has welcomed, as the Disney+ original is now one of the most talked about TV shows around (with the help, perhaps, of one Baby Yoda...)

Meanwhile, the opportunity to be a part of such an iconic universe is something the actress doesn't take lightly.

She added: "The two universes, Star Trek and Star Wars. I get in those two, I'm telling you, man, that's it. I will just retire.

"Then I can just concentrate on going to school and running for office. That would be it."

The Mandalorian season 2 is scheduled to drop this autumn, while The Terminator favourite Michael Biehn has also joined the cast.

The Mandalorian season one is now available to stream in its entirety on Disney+ in the US, with new episodes added every Friday in the UK.
