Naomi Ackie, who was set to star in the Game of Thrones prequel series Age of Heroes, has spoken out about the show's shock cancellation.
The Naomi Watts-led spin-off series, set thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, was sensationally axed on Tuesday (October 29) before it had even started, despite shooting a full pilot episode over the summer.
Now Ackie has shared her reaction to the news, and it seems she's not letting it get her down too much.
"At the moment it’s not fully confirmed, but this stuff happens," she told Metro.co.uk.
"It’s an industry in which things happen, things get put down, I’m just really excited about what is out there for me now. That was a great project, it didn’t work out. I’m ready to look for more stuff."
She added: "[I’m] taking it in my stride. This industry will throw you about left, right and centre so you’ve got to take it in your stride!"

Looks like she's being pretty philosophical about the whole thing. Although she's got more than enough reason to be feeling positive about the future of her career, what with her starring in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Speaking about her character earlier this month, the star told Total Film: "She is part of the Resistance, and she's spent a long time acquiring skills that might be helpful when it comes to the big conclusion of the film. So she shows up at the right time."
