Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Jane Krakowski has teased what the vibe of the upcoming interactive episode will be like.

Speaking to Digital Spy at the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards 2019 last night (May 12), Krakowski shared her excitement over the news – even as she admitted she's "not really sure" about what it'll actually be like.

"Yes, big news!" she said of the episode. "To be honest with you, I'm not really sure of what exactly it's going to be.

"I've only heard a little bit of how it works – on your remote control you can follow the path of each character that you want to," she continued. "So if you follow a certain path many times you'll get a different ending."

It may sound similar to Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, but there's unlikely to be any dark acid trips, family murders or mental unravelling here.

"Yes, [it will be] very very different," Krakowski added. "They did do a dramatic version with Black Mirror — this will be the first show to do a comedic version."

What to Read Next

Luckily, it sounds like it's also going to be packed full of the usual ace gags, with the actress adding: "I think our writers who are brilliant at writing amazing jokes and almost too many jokes will have a field day cos they can write hundreds of jokes that will be [in] whichever road you go down."

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 4
Netflix

Krakowski, who plays Jacqueline White in the Netflix show, also opened up leaving the character behind following on from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's cancellation.

"[Series creator] Tina Fey has written me two really brilliant characters – both Jenna from 30 Rock and Jacqueline that I will miss. They always live somewhere deep inside of me so they can be called up when needed if we do any more of those shows," she added.

The show's standard format ended earlier this year, when season 4 was unveiled on Netflix, and we thought the finale was almost perfect.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is available to stream now on Netflix.
