Game of Thrones star Kit Harington made his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live last night (April 6) and he kicked off the show with a monologue that was interrupted by some surprise audience members.
During his opening stint, Kit made reference to a line of his past films, including Pompeii and Silent Hill: Revelation (which funnily enough stars his Thrones co-star Sean Bean), noting how they hadn't exactly caught the same critical attention as his fantasy TV work.

But as the monologue soon drifted into Thrones territory, Kit was greeted by Emilia Clarke (who plays Daenerys Targaryen) and John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), who were both in the audience and on hand to ask the host a number of questions relating to the HBO show's final season.
"Could you just give us a general sense of how it ends?" Emilia asked, whilst the other audience members erupted into cheers.
And when Kit calmly informed her that she already knows how the show concludes, because she's in it, Emilia responded: "Well yeah but I forgot.
What to Read Next
"It's been so damn long since the last season, plus a lot of my scenes are talking to a dragon, which is just a tennis ball on a green pole. I have no idea what's actually happening."
The Mother of Dragons star then brilliantly alluded to Daenerys and Jon Snow's sex scene, asking if Kit remembers it. (He does – as we all do.)
Next up, John made his presence known by asking if Kit knew what happened to his character, Samwell, in the eighth and final season.
"They only let me see two pages of the script and all my character says is, 'Arrrrrggghhh!'" he noted.
Kit replied: "What did it say in the script before that?" to which John recalled: "Dragon opens mouth..."
"That doesn't sound too good, mate," Kit admitted. "But I can't tell you anything more than that John, I'm sorry."
The monologue was also then interrupted by the Night King, wondering if everybody hates him, while Kit's wife (and former co-star) Rose Leslie also popped up at the end to ask Kit what he plans on doing for money now.
"We didn't save anything," she said. "And you kept telling me, 'I'm the King of the North, we can order Uber Eats every night!'"

Don't worry though, Kit plans on selling his jewellery, so they'll be absolutely fine.
In honour of Kit's hosting, the SNL team also came up with a number of hilarious Thrones spin-offs, prequels and crossovers that HBO could pursue after the series ends – we particularly like the police procedural taking place in the bloodstained streets of Fleabottom.
