Scrubs actor Sam Lloyd, who starred as lawyer Ted Buckland, has been diagnosed with cancer.

According to a GoFundMe campaign page, the 55-year-old was diagnosed with inoperable cancer in January.

Doctors discovered a brain tumour that had metastasised from his lungs. The GoFundMe page reads: "Further scans showed the cancer was also in his liver, spine, and jaw.

"In the face of this devastating news, Sam and [wife] Vanessa have been incredibly strong and positive. Humour and laughter, which have been a huge part of Sam's life, will undoubtedly help him with what lies ahead."
