Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek endured a super awkward This Morning interview today (March 30).

After Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby outlined James's fellow Dawson's Creek stars' achievements since the show, Phillip questioned: "What happened to the main man himself, Mr James Van Der Beek?"

Clearly a bit peeved with the introduction, James hit back: "I have been on television the last 20 years, just to let you know."

Burn.

Trying to recover from the painful start, Phillip joked that it was only because it "worked better as a link" and attempted to get James to reflect on Dawson's Creek and whether he had ever thought it would still be discussed these days.

"No, I hadn't... no," James replied. "I would not imagine I would be sitting in front of the picture from 20 years ago."

Fortunately, Phillip and Holly soon moved off the topic of Dawson's Creek to what James was actually on the show to promote, new Sky 1 series Carters Get Rich.

But it didn't stop viewers cringing at home.

Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson had his own awkward moment on This Morning yesterday (March 29) when he appeared to accidentally spoil who kill Amy Barnes.

"There's six or seven suspects. They've shot loads of different endings," he explained. "Even in the final scenes when I was str... with my hands... no."

Whoops.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
