The Hills is still one of the most memorable reality shows of all time, with the meteoric success of its format going on to inspire programmes like The Only Way Is Essex and Made in Chelsea.

During its run, the MTV series was responsible for launching some of the biggest reality cast members ever into the public eye. Some remain in the limelight all these years later, but others haven't been so lucky. Here, we check out where Lauren Conrad and the rest of the gang are today.

When LC left the show, her first venture was becoming an author. Her novel, LA Candy, ended up on the New York Times Best Seller list and she followed it up with three sequels. A few years later, Lauren met guitarist William Tell, and the pair tied the knot in 2014. Just three short years later, during which time she also launched her very own fashion line, the pair announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child, who was born in July 2017.

He was responsible for some of the most heartbreaking moments in the show thanks to his on/off relationship with Lauren, and the drama became too much for Jason by the time he quit filming.

The star struggled with alcohol and substance abuse for years after leaving the show, but eventually managed to get himself clean. In 2017, the star opened up about how his reality show appearances fuelled his addiction, and revealed that his issues had "one hundred percent" hurt his relationship with Lauren. He now operates a sober facility in Orange County named Widespread Recovery, in a bid to help others suffering through similar experiences.

Audrina's first taste of fame outside the show came when she starred in criminally underrated horror movie Sorority Row in 2009. She made a return to television to star in her very own reality series on VH1 in 2011, but the show was cancelled after just one season. She's since worked as a presenter on NBC and continued to pursue her acting career. She got engaged to dirt-bike rider Corey Bohan in 2015, and the pair welcomed their first child in 2016. However, their happiness was short-lived, and Audrina filed for divorce and a restraining order in September 2017.
