Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist Maddox Dixon had entertained millions thanks to the ITV show, and hopefully will use the show to advance his magician career even further.
Having worked as a musician for about a decade, Dixon told Digital Spy that it was going on tour with Coldplay (as a musician for the singer Foxes) where he first performed magic for a huge crowd of people.
"It was a very bizarre experience," he said. "It was bizarre to have this opportunity because I absolutely had no experience whatsoever at performing magic in public."
He explained that frontman Chris Martin saw him doing tricks backstage and told an audience one night that, 'I've got this friend, who happens to play music but he's also a great magician, so I thought I'd leave you with him for 20 minutes.'
But it turns out that Maddox almost didn't go on the road for that tour, telling us: "When the Coldplay tour came in, I nearly turned it down because I thought, 'Do I want to be away from girlfriend for two months?'
"I didn't want to be away from her. She has put up with five years of this. But I did and now here I am."
