Matt Lucas has revealed he would be interested in bringing back Little Britain.
Speaking on ITV's Lorraine, he admitted he would like to reprise the character Marjorie Dawes, the group leader of the local FatFighters.
However, the comedian explained that the iconic role probably wouldn't go down too well with audiences in 2017.
"Would that be seen as fat-shaming?" he explained. "One of the reasons [Little Britain] was so successful is because it was a reflection of its time."
He added: "I don't think we would get away with Little Britain today. In some ways, we are more conservative now but in other ways, we are more liberal.
"If you did [Little Britain] now the way we did it then with jokes about transvestites... Well, we have a different appreciation now of the struggles of the transgender community.

"If you did Little Britain now the same way we did it then, we'd get a lot of complaints!"
However, when asked if he would rule out ever bringing back the iconic BBC series, Matt told Lorraine Kelly the famous words "never say never" – so perhaps we should watch this space.
Elsewhere during the interview, Matt opened up about losing his hair when he was just six years old.
The comedian revealed that his parents were never told what caused his hair loss, but he believes it may be due to the shock of a car accident he was in two years earlier.
After losing his hair, Matt was bullied at primary school – but turning a negative into a positive, this played a huge role in him becoming the star that he is today.
"I wanted to be known for something more interesting, more inspiring, than just having no hair," he continued.
Then, in his teens, he met a gentleman called David Walliams, who was also bullied at school.
"People used to tease him because he was feminine," Matt added. "He would play the female parts in school plays.
"We met when I was 16 and he was 19 and we bonded as outsiders."
Fast-forward a few years and the pair become close pals and eventually went on to create one of the most iconic comedy series of the early noughties, Little Britain.
Lorraine is on ITV, weekdays at 8.30am.
