But that's not all!
Dancing on Ice also lost its new commentator after only one episode.
ITV confirmed to Digital Spy that Matt Chapman was the on-air announcer for the premiere of the revival series on Sunday [January 7], replacing Dancing on Ice's original broadcaster Tony Gubba, who died in 2013. However, the racing pundit has now departed the series after a scheduling clash.
"We can confirm that Matt Chapman has left the show, and wish him all the very best and look forward to him reporting at ITV Racing at Warwick this weekend," ITV told Digital Spy in a statement.
Dancing on Ice judges: Who are they?
Former DoI coaches Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have been promoted to the judging panel.
Commenting on the news, the duo said: "We are thrilled that Dancing on Ice is returning to ITV next year and delighted to announce our new roles on the judging panel. The show struck such a huge chord with the viewers ever since it launched in 2006, with many of them taking up skating as a result.
"We can't wait to be back on screen in 2018, with a bigger and better series for a brand new audience."
Jason Gardiner has also been confirmed for the judging panel. Jason was an ever-present member of the panel in the show's original run, except for 2012, and soon became well-known for his brutally honest critiques. We hear ITV was keen to line him up for the relaunch series.
Talking about the announcement, Jason said: "Being a judge isn't necessarily who I am, but it's a role I have to do in order to get my point across. So ultimately it benefits the show and the contestants.
"This is an exciting show to do. And it's going to be exciting to see Torvill and Dean on the judging panel because they are ice-skating royalty. Their credentials stack up. But it is the first time they've judged. It's quite difficult to be a good judge on these shows and remain impartial."
Completing the new panel, Diversity star Ashley Banjo has been confirmed as the fourth judge.
He announced the news during an appearance on Loose Women and also revealed that for the first time, the panel will critique routines choreographed by the professional skaters in addition to the celebrity skaters.
Opening up about joining the panel, Ashley said: "This show feels like it's embedded into society. I was really excited to be part of the revamp and the refresh. I'm going to be myself, be constructive, and just be ready for Jason! I'm going to be honest. If someone is great, I'll tell them they're great. If people need telling that it was bad, I'll tell them."
Who are the Dancing on Ice presenters?
We're pleased to report there are no changes here! Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield will be returning to host the series.
Commenting on her come back to the show, Holly said: "I'm so excited to be returning to a show that I love so much! Working with Jayne and Chris is always such an honour and it's even more special as it's the show that Phil and I first worked on together. It's full of wonderful memories and I can't wait to make some new ones."
Schofe added: "I'm often told how much people have missed Dancing on Ice, and with the show so fondly remembered, it's exciting for us all to now have the chance to breath new life into the show, and of course spending an extra day of the week with Holly is the icing on the cake!"
What happened to former Dancing on Ice host Christine Lampard?
Yeah, that's a question a lot of people have been asking. While it's great news that Holly and Phil are coming back, long-time fans couldn't help but wonder how Christine Lampard must be feeling about it all...
Cast your minds back to 2011 and you'll remember Holly stepped down from presenting the series so she could be the face of The Voice UK over on BBC One instead.
After she left, Christine stepped in and worked alongside Schofe until Dancing on Ice was originally dropped – which means it's a little strange that she wasn't invited back for the big reboot.
So, how is she feeling about it all? Well, Phillip revealed all to Digital Spy at the Dancing on Ice 2018 press conference.
He said: "Christine is one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. Nobody, nobody, in television is more thoughtful than Christine – which is why when it was announced that Holly was coming back to do the show, the first person that got in touch was Christine.
"She texted saying, 'Oh my gosh, this is so exciting, please tell me I can come and watch?'"
We guess that means there are no hard feelings.
Who are the Dancing on Ice coaches?
Former Olympic champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean famously mentored the celebrities in previous series. However, the iconic duo have now been promoted to judges so who will take their places?
ITV is yet to confirm the new coaching line-up, and whether former Head Coach Karen Barber will be part of the new series.

Dancing on Ice format: Are there any big changes?
Oh yes! Speaking to Digital Spy, Phillip Schofield revealed that the revival series won't have a separate results show.
"We've made mistakes in the past, and this was one of the things that I was discussing two years ago, is that we had a number of parents who were unhappy that we finished so late with the skate-off," he said.
"We'd have the main show and then we'd have Wild at Heart or whatever, and then we'd have it on later – which meant that the kids, if they were young kids, could watch the beginning of the show but they could never find out what happened at the end.
"So the parents would have to record it. It's on at 6pm. It's a two-hour show, so we'll be done by 8pm."
ITV have also launched a new Dancing on Ice app which fans can use to vote for their favourite celeb.
And last but not least, two huge purpose-built rinks have been built in the new studios. We guess producers are really splashing the cash for this one.
Dancing on Ice: Is there a trailer?
To celebrate the show's return, ITV Creative released this adorable animated story of a polar bear who dreams of dancing on the ice in the lead-up to Christmas.
From his first scary steps, we see that he's a long way from graceful. But with the help of a partner who picks him up, his confidence and his skating prowess improve in literal leaps and bounds, culminating with him wowing a woodland crowd who give him perfect 10s.
The Dancing on Ice promo launched on ITV on December 3, and is set to be released in cinemas from December 19.
Dancing on Ice air date: When did it start?
The new revamped Dancing on Ice launched on Sunday, January 7 at 6pm on ITV.
