It's beginning to feel like we're watching a Kim Kardashian version of A Christmas Carol, as the Ghost of Christmas Past wheels out the stars who helped her to reach the pinnacle of celebritydom.

First we had an unexpected reunion between Kim and the reality TV queen she dethroned, Paris Hilton; and now it's the turn of sex tape leading man Ray J to return to the headlines.

The singer - who was Kim's partner in the video that took her from a Paris Hilton supporting act to a celebrity in her own right - is in talks to appear on Celebrity Big Brother, The Sun claims.

Producers are presumably hoping that he'll gossip about his super-famous ex - an aim they pursued earlier this year by recruiting her close friend Jonathan Cheban for the show. That one didn't end so well, with Cheban throwing around words like "scam".

The show has, however, been teasing confirmed contestants using distorted images and quotes - so we know to expect the leader of a "musical revolution", a "drama" king or queen, a self-proclaimed housemate from hell, a true "wind-up merchant", and someone who promises to be "callous" and "cutting".

Celebrity Big Brother returns on Tuesday, January 3 on Channel 5.
