It was Matt Terry's last chance to impress viewers on The X Factor, and wow did he just pull it out the bag.

Each of the finalists had to perform their favourite song from the series, and Matt (quite right rightly) went with his amazing rendition of Sam Smith's Bond song 'Writing's on the Wall' and it was seriously impressive.

And the judges seemed to like it to. Sharon Osbourne said: "You are just as young boy with the most amazing spectacular voice that comes from within you ever time you sing I get goosebumps.

"You touch my heart, I just adore you."

Simon Cowell also praised the singer's development over the show.

He told Matt: "From the duet last night to this you are having a really, really strong final and I tell you why: no gimmicks you look great, you're voice is great, I love the falsetto, I love the choice of song I like the fact that you look good. It's like you suddenly evolved."

"Thank you for sharing that gift and exposing your full heart to this.

"You deserve – I never say this word – you deserve to be up there right now"

Matt was second to perform, after Saara Aalto performed an impressive rendition of Björk's hit 'It's Oh So Quiet'Björk's hit 'It's Oh So Quiet'.

It's going to be a close race, that's for sure.
