The night is finally here and tonight we pick our X Factor winner! Last night we said goodbye to Che, and this evening Louisa and Reggie 'N' Bollie will battle for the X Factor 2015 title.

Tonight during the X Factor final we have performances from pop juggernauts One Direction, Adele and Coldplay, and we assume Louisa and Reggie 'N' Bollie will be doing a few songs too. We personally can't wait to see Reggie 'N' Bollie's take on the rumoured winners' single, 'Forever Young' by Bob Dylan. A song that needed a carnival remix if there ever was one.

Join us from 8pm and we'll be bringing you all the action and commentary live as it happens for the final time this series!

22:02 So that's it! The X Factor 2015 is DONE! At points it felt like this day would never come, but here we are indeed.

Thanks so much for sticking with the Digital Spy live blog through the series. We've really enjoyed blogging for you guys, and hope you've enjoyed it too!

And don't forget... you can now audition for next year's X Factor series yourself. Could it be YOU on stage at Wembley dressed as an angel? You never know.

What to Read Next

22:01 Louisa's performing 'Forever Young' again and all the contestants rush on stage to hug her on. She is so surrounded by people we can't see her and she misses loads of lines. It's incredible. Always love an emotional winner's performance.

21:59 Incredible.

21:55 After over 8 million votes, the winner is....LOUISA! We counted the pause on our fingers as being 22 seconds.

21:54 The results are in! Olly and Caroline welcome the finalists back to the stage. We're about to find out who's going to win, although we already know that, obviously. The real question is: how long will the awkward pause be?

21:51 Come on guys. She needs it.

21:47 Adele's interview with Olly is the least awkward of all the celebrity interviews so far! She is as AMAZING as ever. She says that Lauren is her favourite. (How excited must Lauren be to hear that?) "I feel like I'm in East 17 being at Wembley." Incredible.

21:44 'Hello' was released on October 23. That means that two months ago from this very moment none of us had ever heard this song before. Just doesn't seem possible, does it?

21:42 Adele sings 'Hello', a song that's had a little bit of chart success over the past month or so. (Remember when Che forgot the words? Bless him.) Her hair is on point. The performance is obviously completely incredible.

21:41 Adele's on next! She prerecorded this earlier. Just as well, as she might have been too intimidated to follow Reggie N Bollie's vocal performance.

21:34 Another recap, then an advert break. We'll use this time to rank all 13 of this year's X Factor live show contestants.

21:32 Time for Louisa's 'friends and family' VT. Basically:

21:29 The judges comment. It was so good! She's so young! She's a STAR! She's a FORCE OF NATURE! WHITNEY AND MARIAH VIBES! Louisa cries. It's lovely. Can we skip to the bit where she wins? There's 35 minutes left. We assume mostly recaps.

21:25 Louisa's performance is obviously incredible. She's been given angel lighting again. We sit throughout the performance waiting for it to segue into an uptempo jam, but obviously not. She has got this contest absolutely wrapped up.

21:23 Oh God, how bad was that performance though. We actually feel bad slagging it off as we feel that it isn't Reggie N Bollie's fault that they were given such a ridiculous song choice, but honestly. Next level bad. Never mind though, Louisa's up next, and don't forget, she's LITERALLY AN ANGEL!

21:22 We have the messages from Reggie N Bollie's family now, and it's nice to see how CUTE THEIR CHILDREN ARE.

21:21 We feel sad for Reggie N Bollie as we feel they have no chance now and it's such a shame they didn't get an uptempo song to show their strengths.

21:16 It's time for Reggie N Bollie to perform their winner's single. It literally is 'Forever Young'. Literally. Has anyone got a number for a locksmith? Reggie can't find his key. It does kick off into some kind of carnival remix, but it's just not good. We can't help but feel that they've been stitched up a bit by having to sing this as a winner's single.

21:13 Will Ferrell (!) is giving a 'hilarious' recap of the best X Factor moments ever. We're glad to see Jedward included extensively, and Chico. There's a nod to Wagner.

Do we honestly believe that Will Ferrell has ever seen The X Factor before?

21:10 If there's one thing we'd have changed about this evening, it would be less Louis Tomlinson, more Louis Walsh.

21:05 One Direction then sing 'History' in front of a photo backdrop of their own best bits. We're pleased to see that Zayn hasn't been excluded from all of the promo shots selected (just most). We spend the whole performance desperate for Zayn to rock up holding those giant bunches of flowers for everyone, but sadly it doesn't look like this will be the case.

21:00 One Direction are going to be singing a second song (!) but first Simon has to say something. He advises them to "enjoy their time off". There is then a celeb montage of everyone saying goodbye to One Direction, which seems a little pointless as they announced their hiatus around ten years ago. Perhaps most excitingly, the montage includes David Beckham in a hat.

20:55 Now we have One Direction! Their VT says they "conquered the world". Imagine if they literally had conquered the world and we all had to wear skinny jeans and only communicate in shouty choruses to please our dictators. Anyway, they sing 'Infinity'. Harry's hair could do with a wash but other than that they look and sound around the quality that we've come to expect. There's a "one two three four". There's some lasers. They all look a bit tired.

20:54 Yes.

20:49 Well, it might already be a foregone conclusion that Louisa has won, but we still have well over an hour to go so the show goes marching on, and, obviously, you can still win Simon Cowell's actual car.

20:48 Louisa's dad himself admits that Louisa is "not human". (Is the FBI watching this?)

20:43 Louisa is there and she's seventeen and she can sing. She's in black - it's nice to see her not all in white for once - and her vocals are everything. We can sit here and say that her song choices have been ridiculously safe and unimaginative and we're totally right - but we CANNOT deny that girl has TALENT.

The audience are screaming so much that we can hardly hear what the judges are saying, but basically IT'S GOOD. Simon says that in all of the years that he's done this show, he's never heard anything as good as that. He calls her "not human". (GET IT GUYS! SHE'S SEVENTEEN! AND A LITERAL ANGEL!) (Poor Leona).

20:41 Rita introduces Louisa with: "Get ready to go from one extreme to the other, and hear some VOCALS, Wembley!"

Firstly: Wow. Shade.

Secondly: After a performance that was universally praised as Super Fun, why would you introduce with "get ready to go from one extreme to the other"? Louisa isn't Max, Rita. She doesn't hate fun.

Louisa's going to be doing 'It's A Man's Man's Man's World' which to be fair was brilliant.

20:39 A bit of insider knowledge...

20:37 Interesting.

20:32 Simon thought that Louisa was going to win, but after that performance, there might be a surprise. (We would LOVE for Reggie N Bollie to bring it home but we doubt it, unfortunately). Rita stands up, says "congratulations" and claps them which comes off a bit weird and patronising. But overall, everybody loved it and Reggie N Bollie are grateful. Lovely.

20:29 The performance is really good! It's even almost in key and it's as fun as we've come to expect. It is the same as every other Reggie N Bollie performance - shouting, a supporting cast of thousands, and a lot of 'GIMME DAT' - but that doesn't make it any less good.

It mashes up with 'I Like To Move It', you know, that song made famous by those lemurs, and there's streamers and jumping and it all just looks like such a LAUGH. Well, we probably need to get our laughs out of the way before the Angelic Louisa comes on we suppose.

20:27 So, twenty-seven minutes in, one of the finalists is about to perform for the first time. Reggie N Bollie for their 'song of the series' have chosen their mash up of 'What Makes You Beautiful' and 'Cheerleader'. This was the correct choice as it was completely amazing.

20:23 Coldplay sing 'Adventure of a Lifetime'. The performance involves dancing gorillas. (We wonder if inside those gorilla suits are the kicked-out contestants who performed earlier this evening? Wouldn't be like Simon Cowell to not get his money's worth).

20:21 First, Coldplay are on.

Can we tell you the funniest thing we ever said?

Once, we were in the car with our ex-boyfriend and he was driving on the right hand lane of the motorway. He put Coldplay on and we said, "I'm sorry, I think for this music you need to be in the middle of the road."

20:18 Bupsi really deserved to be more prominent in that contestants' performance. Farce, we tell you. Farce.

20:15 Mariah Carey turns up out of nowhere before the advert break giving the contestants two sentences of advice! This is incredible. She advises the contestants not to listen to anything Simon Cowell says. We think it's meant to be a joke, but it doesn't quite work due to the presence of a few ex-X Factor contestants out there that may say the same.

20:12 The X Factor finalists are all back together, singing 'Downtown' by Petula Clark! What an anthem! 4th Impact have almost the entire first verse to themselves. It then turns into a mashup of 'Downtown' by Professor Green, for which Seann takes the lead. Lauren gets a big note which is good for her. Not all of their microphones are on properly and it's obviously all a complete mess, but we wouldn't have the contestants' returning performance any other way, would we?

Reggie N Bollie and Louisa turn up out of nowhere. Everyone looks so awkward and out of sync. Amazing.

20:11 There's an amazing cut of Cheryl asking Nick who he wants to win now he's a neutral judge, and he says Reggie N Bollie. YOU GO NICK. RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE.

20:09 At least we get to see Craig David again.

20:08 There is another recap. 8 minutes after the first one.

20:04 Caroline and Olly enter to 'Flashdance'. The sleeves of Caroline's dress have been put through an industrial grade shredder. We're reminded for the second time in four minutes that Coldplay, Adele and One Direction are performing.

The judges all enter together this time and no one's carried in on a giant throne like yesterday, which is a terrible shame. They enter to 'Live and Let Die' and the camera pans around them in circles. They're all looking on brand and at their best.

20:02 So we kick off, obviously, with a recap. Live from Wembley Arena, Louisa came in fancy dress as an actual angel, Che performed with dancing burgers, and Reggie N Bollie duetted with CRAIG DAVID. Remember that? We're not over it. We'll never be over it.

19:59 BUPSI KLAXON!!!!!

19:55 FIVE MINUTE WARNING. Get a drink in. As you're pouring it, remember all the likely recaps.

19:53 We're watching Jekyll and Hyde waiting for X Factor to come on and we're finding it genuinely quite terrifying. Come on guys, it's 7:53pm, tone down the spiders, alright?

19:51 Adele has already pre-recorded her performance (it seems like she couldn't be bothered with all the recaps either) and apparently it's good!

19:40 We've got another two hours and five minutes to get through tonight. Estimate:

15% overblown judges' intros

30% recaps

10% performances from Louisa and Reggie N Bollie

5% discussion of the fact Louisa is only seventeen and might be literally an actual angel

5% performances from Coldplay, Adele and One Direction

10% extremely awkward post-performance interviews

20% long and emotional VTs from mentors and the contestants' families

3% overlong pause waiting for the winner announcement

2% final performance, with tickertape

19:31 Good evening everyone and welcome to the final Digital Spy X Factor 2015 live blog!! It's been a series of a few ups and many downs (and not just in terms of ratings...) but tonight we finally wrap it up.

It seems completely ridiculous to even briefly entertain the possibility that Louisa will not win, so we will not bother. We know that Louisa is good, and she deserves to win as an individual. However, we are a bit fed up of seeing her perform ballads week after week after week when we personally felt that her best performance ever was 'Billie Jean', pretty much her only live show uptempo. Could we be getting an uptempo tonight from Louisa?? God help us, let's hope so.

And as for Reggie N Bollie - who could have possibly thought back in the Menn On Point days that they'd make it to the final two? We often see them dismissed online as a joke act but wonder if in today's recording landscape they're ultimately a more relevant act than Louisa anyway. And they're certainly more fun. Remember that Craig David duet? We've rewatched it three times today.
