After the shocking loss of Seann Miley Moore last week, we're back this week for Movies Week. Movies Week has always been a treat in the past - it is, after all, the week that brought us Simon and Louis' iconic disagreement over Gummo - and hopefully we're in for similarly unmissable television this evening.

If you fancy having a sneak peek at the song choices, the full list is here. Join us from  8pm to find out all of our views on the evening's performances, and as usual, we'll bring you all the action and commentary live as it happens - just keep refreshing for updates!

21:42  So that's it for our live blog this evening! As always, thanks for joining us. We'll be back next Saturday to live blog the next live show, and Digital Spy will be providing all the X Factor news and coverage you need from tomorrow's elimination! Goodnight, everyone!

21:38  The show's already over! Maybe it's because we've found ourselves used to episodes that last about as long as Gone With The Wind, but it's all seemed to go very quickly for us. Anyway, as usual we'll use the recap to do our contestant rankings...

Max

It's been a strong week in terms of performances. In terms of who we think is in danger? Especially with being given the Strictly clash slot, we aren't sure that Mason will get past another week, although we do think he deserves to stay. We also think this might finally be Max's time - an early performance slot and a song that isn't very famous won't have done him many favours.

21:30  Finally, it's time for Che to perform. He's going to sing 'When a Man Loves A Woman', another song choice so obvious we feel like we've already watched it. It's a song his Dad played him when he was young and they share an emotional song choice.

Che's dressed as Danny Zuko and is at a drive-in theatre and is singing in front of a movie screen showing a three-second loop of his own face (!). He obviously sounds amazing - he always sounds amazing - but it's identical to the performance we already imagined in our head. It's still great though, obviously, so well done Che.

He gets a standing ovation from all four judges. Rita announces that she "secretly fancies" Che. Cheryl shouts out to Che's dad, who is in the audience wearing an amazing baseball cap. Simon asks Che if he has any idea how good his love life will be after the show - "honestly - to sing like that? That isn't you!" We think that's all a bit rude and patronising to be honest, and we are sure that Che is a kind soul who would have found love at some point either way, but there you go.

21:26  Simon commented during Lauren's critique that Ben Haenow is on course for a top 5 album... er...

21:19  Lauren up next. In her VT she goes back to visit the dentist, which is nice. She's changed her song choice last minute due to the Paris tragedies, so will be singing 'One Last Time' by Ariana Grande.

We actually really like this performance (we've always really enjoyed this song) and think that her performance is very  raw  - we believe it, when usually we find Lauren can be singing very sad songs but still have a huge smile on her face. She forgets a line in the second chorus, and although normally we're pretty harsh in our approach to forgotten lyrics, she has had less than a day to learn the song so it's understandable.

Cheryl says she preferred this song choice for Lauren to the original one picked ('License to Kill') and we happen to agree. The judges love the performance, and so do we. It's definitely her best performance to date. Well done, Lauren!

21:10  Cheryl reveals that Celina from 4th Impact has passed out whilst waiting to perform and an ambulance was called. 4th Impact were offered the opportunity to not perform and have their dress rehearsal played but they decided to perform anyway. Get well soon, Celina!

The VT is very focused on the fact that 4th Impact are INDIVIDUALS and SEPARATE PEOPLE with THEIR OWN NAMES and they're made fancy jackets with their names on them.

The girls are all on stage - including Celina - and sing 'Work it Out' by Beyonce. They look  incredible in matching sparkling silver mini dresses and heels and we're so impressed. The choreography and vocals are on point and we cannot fault anything about the whole performance. There's SO much hair flipping. To us, it's the performance of the night.

There's a standing ovation from all four judges. Unfortunately at the end Celina feels unwell and has to sit down and have a sip of water. She's sat there throughout the judges comments which makes us feel a bit uncomfortable. We really hope she's okay.

The judges describe the performances as "perfect". Cheryl says that "what stars do" is perform in the face of things like this, and we are impressed that 4th Impact did so well when Celina was feeling poorly - but we also think that it wouldn't have made her any less of a star if she'd pulled out of the performance after literally losing consciousness!

20:57  Next we have Anton. He watches back last week's trainwreck of a performance on a nice fancy TV and is so visibly cringing. We feel for you, Anton. Anton is doing 'I Have Nothing' from  The Bodyguard this week, and it's a song choice so obvious we feel like we've already watched it, but we'll give it a chance.

It's just as casually dramatic and sonically competent as you'd expect, and we're a little bored until Anton completely kills the last chorus. Anton was the perfect choice to look into the camera intently and sing "DON'T YOU DARE WALK AWAY FROM ME!!"

The judges enjoyed the performance. Nick is glad the Anton he knows is back but does tell him he's a little musical theatre (after revealing that 'Queen of the Night' is his ringtone. Amazing). Cheryl comments that although it's an obvious song choice, it is a song that he'd do in the real word, so it makes sense. Simon comments that his musical theatre, over-the-top performance skills are actually what makes Anton special, and we'd have to agree.

20:55  What song would you do during Movie Week? We'd sing 'Young and Beautiful' from The Great Gatsby, probs (or the 'Elephant Love Medley' from Moulin Rouge. What a medley.)

20:45  Now we have Reggie n Bollie, who we LOVED last week. In the VT Cheryl suggests they are singing 'My Heart Will Go On' but apparently it's all a massive joke, which we are very disappointed about. They're actually going to be singing 'Who Let The Dogs Out?' which is a song choice we personally feel is LAZY, but we'll reserve judgement for the time being.

Reggie n Bollie open with a fake-out two lines of 'My Heart Will Go Out' before Reggie shouts "YO BOLLIE! PEOPLE WANT TO PARTY, NOT LISTEN TO SLOW SONGS!" (Please tell the last three acts that). They then launch into 'Who Let The Dogs Out?' and it's as joyful as we've come to expect, but it isn't a patch on last week's performance. We would have liked to see them do a song a little less obvious than this.

Simon tries to recreate Gummo-gate by denying the existence of The Rugrats Movie. We know for a fact the Rugrats Movie exists because we remember clearly that it was the first time we ever cried at the cinema (the first of many, many times). Overall, the performance goes down well with the judges. Reggie n Bollie are so happy and we love watching them be interviewed after the performance - they describe themselves as "living their dream" and are just rays of sunshine.

20:37  Next up is Monica Michael. We're so happy to see her back in her Earrings in the VT. She goes back to the youth centre where she teaches kids where to rap. We're 25 but do you think we can join this youth centre so Monica can teach us how to rap and the best branches of Claire's Accessories to buy earrings from?

Monica's changed her song choice today, and is singing  'What Is Love' from  Empire, the song she sang at Six Chair Challenge. We loved this performance at the time, and it's great to see her on stage doing a song she's comfortable with, and wearing her earrings. It's a very emotional performance, and we think it's one of our favourite of hers to date.

Cheryl praises Monica for doing so well having only changed her song this morning. Simon praises her for being herself and not wearing a silly dress and calls it "magic". Nick didn't hate Monica this week, but he prefers the Monica this week. He can hear that voice on the radio (did you know that Nick works on the radio?). Rita bizarrely references forgetting Monica's name last week and describes it as "not my fault" but "I won't tell the story".  We'd really actually like to know the story behind how forgetting someone's name ISN'T YOUR FAULT. Mind-snatching aliens?

20:25  Now we have Louisa Johnson (she's just 17 you know. Had you heard? ONLY SEVENTEEN!) She's singing 'Everybody's Free' from  Romeo + Juliet  (a film that came out before she was born, if you fancy feeling old). When we first read that she was singing 'Everybody's Free', at first we were a little confused and thought she was singing 'Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen', which would have been a far more interesting song choice if you ask us.

It's a lovely performance and she has some lovely sparkly eyeshadow on. Her voice sounds absolutely phenomenal. Obviously, there's a choir. We can't deny the performance was fantastic, but we do feel it could have done with a bit of a beat kicking in towards the end. It does just kind of carry on a bit.

It's Judges' Comments bingo with this performance. The following phrases are used:

"Light and shade."

"You really believed every single lyric."

"You really want to win, I can tell."

"You don't know how good you are."

etc, etc. Rita cries even more than we cried a minute ago when the Sainsbury's advert was on, and Simon praises her for actually caring about the act doing well and being such a great mentor.

20:23  Excuse us, we just saw the Sainsbury's Christmas advert for the first time and we are now literally crying. (There has not been ONE performance on X Factor all season HALF as emotional as that Sainsbury's advert).

20:12  Next up is Max. We're reminded that last week he sang a ukelele version of  'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'. Liam Payne apparently said backstage that it was brilliant and he loved it. Well, that tells us a lot we need to know about Liam Payne.

Max is going to sing 'Secret Garden' from Jerry Maguire this week, and he's not feeling great about it because the song doesn't have a chorus so the audience will find it hard to connect. We tend to agree with Max on this point, and it's nice to see him being assertive about it.

(There's also a scene in the VT of Max going to a local pub and describing a time that he once got drunk, sang karaoke and repeated one line of the song for three minutes, which is a side of Max we'd like to see more of. The anecdote reminds us of the time we went to the pub our cousin worked at  and played 'Teardrops on my Guitar' by Taylor Swift on the jukebox seven consecutive times).

We aren't familiar with 'Secret Garden' as a song to be honest, but the performance is not thrilling. Max sounds fine - his voice is great, and always has been great - but personally, we feel it's quite evident that he wasn't very pleased with the song choice, and - to be honest - it bored us.

The comments are a bit odd - Nick describes the performance as good, but he wished it had made him cry. Rita praises Max on his "patience" (what?! out of all the qualities we look for in a popstar, we aren't sure PATIENCE is one of them), and Cheryl tells Max to be a bit less shy. Overall, though, the judges like the performance.

20:11  The judges all love Mason's performance, and there's some great positive feedback. Nick describes it as "perfect".

20:06  First up we've got Mason Noise. Bottom 2 last week, and this week in the Strictly crossover slot? Not looking good, is it? He's going to be singing 'Men in Black', a song choice we're pretty excited by.

Mason is dressed in typical Men in Black clothes and puts on a good show. He's a great dancer, a great rapper and a pretty good singer. There's an incredible dance break which is guest-performer standard, and his breath control rapping whilst dancing is impressive. The longer the performance lasts, the more we're convinced it's amazing (although it's a little Stars In Their Eyes.) We think this performance is his best to date, and definitely deserved to be further down the bill.

20:05  Simon begins the show with a statement sending love and prayers to those affected by the terrible tragedy in Paris. Lauren and Monica's song choices have been changed in light of sensitivity to the events.

20:03  The judges are introduced. Rita's gown is Oscar-worthy and Cheryl has a lovely updo. We are still wondering how many months rent Olly's suit is.

20:00  So it's TIME! To FACE! The ACTS OF VARYING LEVELS OF MEDIOCRITY! We're reminded that Seann Miley Moore was sent home and shown a variety of newspaper headlines depicting the nation's shock and outrage. As customary in Movie Week, there's a very subtly-edited "LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION" acts rollcall and Cheryl doing an impression of the MGM lion's roar - yes, really.

19:58  We're well and truly in Christmas advert season now. According to DFS, Santa is going to be delivering all of our sofas this Christmas. Imagine being a child and noticing Santa in your living room but it turned out all he'd brought was a new sofa.

19:51  Olly's posted a picture of his outfit on Instagram and it includes Balenciaga, Lanvin AND Alexander McQueen. We bet it cost more than three months of our rent.

19:44  So, while we're waiting - what about Seann Miley Moore going home last week, eh? We were in TOTAL shock, and are still really disappointed. Seann's was a performance each week we really looked forward to, and it's a real shame the show lost him this early on.  We think Seann's 'Life on Mars?' might be one of our favourite X Factor performances ever.  Goodbye, Seann. Join Gamu, Laura White, Lucie Jones and, of course, BUPSI in the Gone Too Soon hall of fame. We hardly knew ye.

19:36  Good evening everyone, and welcome to this week's X Factor live blog! Grab yourself a drink and get ready to get stuck in for 8pm - the episode is only an hour and 45 minutes long this week, which is actually the shortest episode this particular liveblogger has EVER written about, fact fans. As usual we'll be giving you all the updates as they happen and sharing our insightful views on which contestants (if any) are any good. Enjoy!
