Big Brother has confirmed which two housemates will return to the series as part of a twist involving a secret room, with their arrival set to cause a stir for the current cast even if they don't know it. With the twist happening soon, can you guess who they are?

It was announced during Friday's (10 October) episode of spin-off series Late & Live that a pair of housemates - who "may have gone too soon" - would be brought back to the current season.

It wouldn't be a full-scale return, however, with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best clarifying that the duo would come back into the house and reside in a secret room, where they will be joined by the latest evicted housemate.

After much speculation and waiting, it has been confirmed that Emily Hewertson and Farida Khalifa are the contestants in question, with the pair being joined by either Nancy Nocerino or Sam Ashby depending on the result of the eviction.

Emily is a cast member of the current season, though her initial stay was short-lived as she was brutally evicted from the house just hours after entering. Farida appeared in the 20th season (and first since its move to ITV), staying in the house for a week before her exit.

"I’m raring to go," said Emily of her return. "[I'm] very grateful to do it all over again, not many people can say that! I’m desperate to do a task. [They] seem so funny. I’m also dying for a lovely glass of rose in the hot tub - I’m hoping I now get that opportunity."

"I think it’s a fantastic choice," added Farida. "The amount of time you put into the whole process, I didn’t really feel fulfilled - I only had a few days in there. The most important thing is – the audience has wanted this for such a long time… I’m doing it for the fans."

"The three of them will watch all the goings-on in the house before they re-join them, and they're gonna have secret tasks," said Will of the twist.

"They're gonna be up to no good! We did say the game is changing, people, and changing it is."
