Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri received a heartwarming surprise as she participated in the live final.

The Love Island star took to the dancefloor with Aljaž Škorjanec on Saturday (December 14) as they sought the Glitterball Trophy, with the couple battling it out with JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell and Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola.

Following the Showdance, the second of their three routines on the night, Tasha spoke with host Claudia Winkleman about the importance of her family, though admitted she wished that her brother – who lives in Australia – could be there to watch her.

Much to her surprise, Claudia and various Strictly co-stars made way as her brother, Alex, emerged through the crowd to greet his sister, with Tasha covering her face as he gave her – and Aljaž – a hug.

“I can’t describe it – it’s amazing. Sitting out in Australia, watching your little sister dance and following all [her] dreams. You’re so special,” said Alex, with Claudia thanking Alex for making the long journey.

Whilst Tasha got a lovely surprise, professional dancer Vito got an altogether different shock as he suffered a wardrobe malfunction following his first routine with Sarah, with the celebrity and host Tess Daly having to cover him up as he stood in front of the judges.
