RuPaul's Drag Race UK star La Voix has been given a real Blue Peter badge.
The star – who recently finished as runner-up on the show – won a few RuPeter badges across the sixth season, and has now shared her delight at being honoured with the real-life inspiration behind the award.
Taking to Instagram in a clip, the star teased that she had "just been sent something which has blown my mind".

"My gorgeous friend, Anthea Turner – who was a Blue Peter presenter many years ago – we did pantomime together, and she said to me, 'La Voix, there is one badge you never got and this is more important than a RuPeter badge'," La Voix explained.
"This was sent to me – thank you so much Anthea – a genuine Blue Peter badge! I have always wanted one of these. There is a small little girl inside of me that is absolutely screaming that I am holding a genuine Blue Peter badge!"

The gift proved especially poignant as the star had attempted a Blue Peter challenge with her brother when she was little.

"There was a campaign on Blue Peter to build a pond, and we built a pond," she recalled. "And if you sent pictures off of you building your pond, you got sent a Blue Peter badge.
"We got an email back – well, it was probably a letter back in those days – saying, 'Sorry, you can't have a badge because you were supposed to build a pond in a public space, not in your private garden.' And me and my brother were gutted.
"This is years of closure on childhood trauma, because I've now got an actual Blue Peter badge. Anthea, thank you so much my darling," La Voix concluded.
The star captioned the post: "The best badge ever! Thank@you so much @antheaturner @blue.peter."
