Dancing on Ice star Vanessa Bauer has spoken out in favour of a change the ITV show has implemented.

The ice-skating competition series will be back on screens in early 2025, and the latest crop of celebrities will have access to a 24-hour care hotline in which they can anonymously speak about any issues backstage. It was put in place following all of Strictly Come Dancing's controversies earlier this year.

Speaking to The Sun, professional skater Vanessa Bauer was all in favour of the move, stating: "We were all made aware, all the girls were made aware and the celebrities, that there's a helpline that we can call at any time of the day, every single day.

"So we are very well looked after at ITV. It is comforting to know and I'm putting myself out there - I think it's very necessary... Winning should never come at the expense of integrity and respect."

Vanessa is paired with Love Island's Chris Taylor for the upcoming season, while the rest of the celebrity cast has been announced as well. You can find out every famous name competing in Dancing on Ice 2025 right here.

Meanwhile, Mark Hanretty and Brendyn Hatfield have announced that the upcoming season will be their last with the show, with Hanretty stating that 2025 is his last as a professional skater in general.

Fellow professional Amani Fancy also announced that she is leaving the show and won't be competing in the next season.

Dancing on Ice will return in 2025, and will air on ITV1 and stream on ITVX.
