Amanda Holden has unveiled her first tattoo after going away on a girls holiday.

The Britain's Got Talent judge opened up about the ink on her Heart Breakfast show, revealing she convinced a friend to get tattoos.

"We both had a tattoo. I said to Jane, 'Let's do it'," she recalled. "And we found a place, and he could fit us in and we both did exactly the same thing.

"It's two little hearts next to each other to symbolise my two children. But I'm going to do another little one at the bottom."

However, Amanda went on to reveal that when she returned to the UK, her family didn't initially notice the tattoo – and when they did, she got a rather mixed reception.

"We told Chris. He said, 'It looks fake'. Second, he said, 'It looks naff'. And third, he said, 'Eugh, what's going to happen next? What's going to go next? And now the children are going to want one', is what he said.

"But anyway, power to me and Jane and my friend Sarah."

In other news, Amanda is set to host the Royal Variety Performance later this month alongside comedian Alan Carr. The show will feature this year's BGT winner Sydnie Christmas.

Britain's Got Talent airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
