Celebrity Big Brother star Amelia Lily has announced she is engaged in a sweet Instagram post.

The star, who first rose to fame on the 2011 season of The X Factor, shared the happy news yesterday (October 31), posting a picture of herself with partner Eddie McQueen.

She also showed off the ring in a further two snaps, writing in the caption: "MRS MCQUEEN TO BE!"

Amelia has since received a wealth of congratulations in the comments, with one follower writing: "Congratulations you gorgeous pair, such wonderful and exciting news. So happy for you both xXx."

"Beautiful Mrs McQueen to be," another wrote. "I’m soooo happy for you both, my heart is bursting with happiness. You’re going to be the most perfect bride, I can’t wait to watch you marry your best friend!! Love you so much xxxxxxxxxxx."

"Wow what lovely news, congratulations to you both xxx," a fourth added, while a fifth wrote: "Eeeeeee darl!!! So happy for you both! Perfect match."

Amelia was a finalist on The X Factor, coming third on the season that Little Mix won. She later found further fame as a runner-up on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, which was won by the late Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding.

Eddie is the son of the late legendary Scottish footballer Gordon McQueen, who passed away last year.

Celebrity Big Brother will return on ITV2 and ITVX.
