Former Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker has reassured her fans after suffering a health scare.
The YouTuber has taken to her Instagram Stories to share she's on the mend after catching an infection following her recent trip to the Maldives.
"Thank you so much for all your well wishes, after a week I finally feel somewhat normal again," she wrote in her Story.

"The doctors thought I had caught a tropical disease from a mosquito when I was away as I had all the symptoms being, rashes all over my body, headache, body aches, shooting pains in my body, temperature, sore throat and ears," she continued.
While Barker didn't have the disease doctors initially suspected, her white blood cell count was lower than normal and indicated an infection, as she noted in a follow-up Story.

"After getting my bloods taken turns out I didn't have that but my white blood cells were half the number they should be so very low and therefore my whole body was trying to fight the infection," she wrote.
Barker included pictures of a rash on her arm and explained the skin irritation had settled.

The podcast host is known for taking part in the 2019 edition of Strictly Come Dancing with pro partner AJ Pritchard. Following her experience on the show, she said she'd love to appear on I'm a Celebrity to prove her detractors wrong.
"People assume I'm a young, dumb blonde – I get that all the time," she told the Daily Star last year. "And so I enjoy proving I'm not the sort of person people expect me to be. I would love to do I'm A Celebrity and go outside my comfort zone and challenge myself."
