Congratulations are in order for Britain's Got Talent star Tom Ball, who's expecting his first child with his wife Hannah.

The singer, who came third on the 2022 season of the ITV show, shared the happy news on Instagram, revealing they had been through "a long, difficult journey" of IVF.

"BIG NEWS!" he captioned a photo of himself and his wife holding up a baby scan.

"Hannah and I are overjoyed to announce we're expecting our first child! Our little miracle is due January next year and we're already bursting with love.

"After a long, difficult journey, and becoming successful with IVF, we're so thankful and excited for this new chapter. Honestly it's our dream come true #IVFjourney #babyontheway," Tom added.

The singer went on to further announce a new 34-date UK tour for next year with fellow Britain's Got Talent star Amy Lou Smith as a special guest, plus a new album called Spotlight.

Tom and Hannah have since received a host of congratulations in the comments, with The X Factor star Jay James writing: "So much love and congratulations both! I know how challenging this has been.

"You will be THE best parent ever!!! Let's go TEAM BALL!!! P.S please let baby know uncle Jay gets his room back when I come stay xxx."

Britain's Got Talent star Jamie Leahey added: "Massive Congratulations Both!!", while Axel Blake wrote: "Big congratulations to you both."

As well as BGT, Tom appeared on America's Got Talent: All Stars last year, and also returned to BGT in 2023 as the voice behind Noodle the cat.

"I swear to God – I never knew who the voice behind the cat was," Simon Cowell said after the surprise.

"If you're going to come back and win the show, you just come back as a cat. But I've got to hand it to you, you have never sung better than that."
