The One Show's Alex Jones has addressed her future on the show.

The presenter has been a staple of the BBC programme since 2010, and has revealed in a new interview that she has no plans leave, admitting that "longevity is key" for her.

"I can't even believe I'm still there," she told Bella magazine (via OK!). "I just go in, do the job and hope no one notices I'm still there. I just love it.

"People ask a lot: 'What do you want to do next? Don't you want to do a big entertainment show?' I'm like: 'What do you mean?' I'm really happy."

"All new projects are exciting and a new challenge but actually it would be really amiss of anybody to overlook the bread and butter," Alex added.

"All the extra bits are really fun and exciting but actually for me longevity is key. I want to be there. Being the main breadwinner, I want to be able to provide security for the children."

The comments come after Alex and her family underwent a big life change as they moved house for the first time in 14 years, recently settling into their new home.

Posting about their new house, Alex said on Instagram: "It took nearly 4 years of searching to find the 'one'.

"Somewhere where the children could appreciate nature but yet be close enough to London for me to get to work and we have. It feels like she was waiting for us to find her. We feel very lucky."

The star previously spoke about the moving process, revealing to fans that it felt "cleansing" and "quite emotional".

The One Show airs on weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
