Former Strictly Come Dancing star Stacey Dooley has unveiled her short hair transformation.

Dooley, who normally wears her signature red hair past her shoulders, took to Instagram to share the dramatic change with fans.

Sharing a mirror selfie, Dooley can be seen sporting a short bob haircut, which is parted to the side.

The 2018 Strictly champion also shared a full length look at the pic, in which she wears a white vest paired with wide-leg jeans, via her Instagram Stories.

Seemingly quoting an NSYNC song to bid farewell to her long hair, Dooley captioned the story: "Baby bye bye byeeeeeee."

Fans took to Dooley's comment section to share their thoughts on the new do, with one fan commenting: "Oooh that's gorgeous honey. Love it."

In recent months, Dooley has been performing in the play 2:22 – A Ghost Story, which marked her stage debut.

Starring as Jenny, Dooley joined fellow Strictly Come Dancing champion Joe McFadden on stage, as well as Donna Air and James Buckley.

It seems as if Dooley has ended her run on the stage after the star took to Instagram yesterday (August 6) to share an update.

"My first night home in 3.5 months," Dooley penned. "Sat on the sofa thinking WADDA ride I’ve been on! A summer fling with the Gielgud Theatre and Donna Air, simultaneously."

Using the post, Dooley thanked everyone involved in the stage production, saying: "Ta so, so, so much to everyone. The whole gang and everyone that came to see us. I truly loved playing Jenny."

It also looks as if Dooley plans to continue making documentaries. The documentarian finished off the post, saying: "Back to my docs next week. (I’ll spend this week resuscitating my plants and knee deep in laundry) K, BYEEEEE."

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
