"She was someone who was always in my corner when others weren’t, someone who would offer trustworthy advice when others couldn’t and someone who would support life decisions to show how much she supported me even if she thought I was taking a gamble.

"She opened her doors and welcomed me to live under her roof on the Gold Coast to live with her and Pop so I could pursue my career and taught me how to make the world’s best omelette."

Bryce went on to reveal it was no secret among his family that he was his grandmother’s favourite, adding: "My nickname within the family became 'number one'".

"Last Monday she turned 89 years old which was an achievement given the last year she faced," the MAFS star continued. "Jumping on a plane to the Gold Coast at short notice on Sunday morning to spend the afternoon with her in hospital and say goodbye was one of the toughest things I’ve done.

"One final conversation, one final hug, one final kiss and one final opportunity to tell someone you love them was harder than I imagined."

Bryce concluded by saying he’ll be "forever grateful" for having his grandmother in his life, adding: "you’ll always be supporting me and the family from above".
