Jordan North has responded to rumours suggesting he'll be on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.

This morning on Capital Breakfast, the radio DJ's co-hosts Chris Stark and Kemi Rodgers attempted to pry out some answers about his potential appearance on the competition show, following some fan speculation on social media.

However, despite hopes from fans for his ballroom debut, Jordan explained why going on Strictly would be an "awful" idea.

"If I was on Strictly I would constantly look like I was constipated, it would be awful. And I'd be like, 1…2…3…4.. I can't dance. I'm honestly not doing it but no one will believe me anyway," he said.

"I can't dance for toffee, I have no rhythm, the only dance I can dance do, confidently, is a Cha-Cha-Slide. Because they tell you what to do. One hop this time…left right foot stomp, right foot left stomp."

Chris and Kemi were then interested to know if Jordan would be appearing on the upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother.

"There's a lot of rumours for these ones. Before I started on Capital, there were a lot of people saying I was going to do Big Brother. I can't confirm or deny," said Jordan.

"If I say to you right now 'I'm not doing it', you'll be like 'ohhhh you're definitely doing it aren't you!'"

Attempting to get a more definite answer from Jordan, Chris added: "You don't want to be a liar either, because the trust from the public will diminish and you'll make me look foolish. So just to clear it up you're doing neither."

However, Jordan stuck to his guns, saying: "It's just better to say I can't confirm nor deny."

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
