Stacey Solomon has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late dog Theo, revealing the special way she honours the chihuahua.

The reality TV star took to Instagram to share two photos of a blossom tree from her garden which she planted in memory of Theo, who died in December 2021.

"Theo's blossom tree is in full bloom," she wrote in the first photo caption, alongside a close-up of the pink blossom. "It’s the most magical, spectacular tree that brings me so much comfort and happiness just like Theo.

"Can’t wait for my morning cuppas and chats in the sunshine under here with Theo."

Stacey also took to Instagram to confirm Leo's passing in December 2021, after 11 years together. She called the dog a "best friend" and thanked her for "the memories and the love you brought into our lives".

A month later, Stacey confirmed that the family had taken in a rescue dog, a Cocker Spaniel named Teddy, with the new addition intended to keep her fellow dog, sausage dog Peanut, company.

"We miss you so much Theo," she wrote at the time of the news. "I hope you’re looking down from heaven smiling, knowing that Peanut will no longer be so very lonely and that a doggy who really needed a family now has one."

Stacey Solomon's Sort Your Life Out is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
