Celebrity Big Brother star Louis Walsh has recalled his rivalry on The X Factor with Cheryl.
The pair appeared on the singing competition's panel together over a number of seasons, and during last night's (March 19) CBB, Louis recalled how their rivalry got intense on the 2008 series – which was won by Cheryl's mentee Alexandra Burke.
"We took it so f*****g serious, and we all wanted to win," he admitted. "We were pretending it was about the show – we all wanted to win. And we were all trying to upstage each other with songs and performance.

"I really have to breathe for this, because we took it so seriously…" he went on to recall, as he opened up about the 2008 series and Burke's famous duet with Beyoncé.

"We were in the final and it was Alexandra Burke and JLS so I thought I'm gonna get Westlife, we’ll do ‘Flying Without Wings’ and divvy it up between them, dah de dah de dah.
"Simon [Cowell] loved Cheryl. What the f*** did he do? He got her Beyoncé, it was all over... And I didn’t find out until the middle of the week. That’s what he’s like. That’s what makes him good."

Louis added: "Cheryl was kinda smug with me, I wanted to beat her as well."
Fellow housemate David Potts then asked if Cheryl is "nice", Louis responding: "Yeah, she is. She’s not perfect but she’s nice.
"She’s a good girl, she’s good. She’s had a lot of negativity but I like her. She doesn’t know that, I like her more than she likes me."

During the episode, Louis also spoke to Zeze Mills and Marisha Wallace about Cheryl's 2003 assault conviction, where she was found guilty of punching a nightclub attendant, Louis saying the singer was "unprepared" and that the incident was "not forgotten".
He added: "She had very good PR. Very good PR and a great record company. They did their best."
Last night's episode saw housemates Marisha and Zeze evicted after being up for the public vote alongside Nikita Kuzmin and Fern Britton. The episode also revealed that one more housemate will be evicted tonight (March 20).
Celebrity Big Brother airs Sundays through Fridays at 9pm on ITV1 and the ITV Hub, followed by Late & Live on ITV2 immediately following each new episode.
