Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack has predicted that Louis Walsh will return to judge The X Factor next series.

Walsh, who has served on the panel since its inception nine years ago, claimed in August that he will not be on the show in 2014, but later played down his potential exit.

Speaking to Digital Spy this week at pop-up pub The Magners Arms, Flack said that she couldn't picture The X Factor without Walsh.

"I don't think it will be [his final year]," she commented. "I don't think it'll be the same without Louis. He's like part of the furniture, ain't he?"

Flack also tipped Nicole Scherzinger, who is mentoring the girls, to win the show for a second consecutive year.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Nicole got the double whammy and won again," she said. "There's something in her. She's just amazing.

"She's a girl's girl. It's impossible to fall out with Nicole, you just couldn't.

"She doesn't have a bad word to say about anybody. It's not in her. She's so nice.

"I think I'm obsessed with her. [It's like] Single White Female. I'll start getting long back hair."

Flack also told DS that she doesn't want to replace Dermot O'Leary on the main show and revealed how she tricked Xtra Factor co-host Matt Richardson into thinking he had been axed for Olly Murs.

Flack was speaking to promote Magners' 'Now Is a Good Time' campaign, hosting a 'perfect' night of Irish sociability and spontaneity.
