It's been confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother is returning to our screens in 2024 and, naturally, everyone is buzzing about which famous faces might be walking through those iconic doors.
While an official line-up won't be revealed until closer to the time (and we don't quite know yet when that time will be!), there are plenty of names making headlines as excitement for the show's return continues to mount.
So here are all of the CBB cast rumours that you'll want to know about, and how likely they really are to come to fruition.
Celebrity Big Brother 2024 cast rumours
Chloe Burrows
Of course, anyone tuning in for Love Island: All Stars has been waiting for Chloe – who made it to the final of season seven in a couple with Toby Aromolaran – to make her bombshell entrance.
However the fan-favourite indicated that it wasn't something that was going to be on the cards, responding to an influx of messages from fans.
She may be back on our screens soon though, as her name has now been connected to ITV's upcoming CBB reboot.
What to Read Next
An insider has been quoted by The Sun as saying that Chloe has "had meetings with Celebrity Big Brother producers" who are really "keen" to sign her up for the show (although, apparently, "nothing has been signed yet...")
Levi Roots
Famed for his appearance on Dragon's Den and his popular 'Reggae Reggae' sauce, Levi Roots has reportedly (via The Mirror) been signed up for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.
A source was quoted by the publication, who named Levi as "self-made" and "an inspiration to a new generation".
The report added: "He's got a few exciting projects coming up and he's such a fun character."
Shirley Ballas
The Sun claims that the Strictly Come Dancing judge is "in advanced talks" to appear in CBB this year.
Although nothing has been confirmed, the publication reports that Shirley is a big fan of the reality series.
Of course, we now know that Shirley recently made the crossover to ITV1, however briefly, for a stint on The Masked Singer in a Rat costume.
Rebekah Vardy
For a while, it seemed that Rebekah Vardy was at the top of the list when it came to the rumoured Celebrity Big Brother line-up, but it's now been claimed that she's been 'axed' before a confirmation even came along.
The Mirror reports that "bosses were prepared to splash out on signing up Becky in the hope she'd dish all on the Wagatha Christie drama" but, once the potential deal "leaked", ITV is said to "have decided to explore other candidates".
Her name is still being brought up as part of the cast speculation though, and we know that she's no stranger to reality television having previously taken part in I'm a Celebrity and Dancing on Ice.
Ella Morgan
Ella was the breakout star from the most recent series of Married at First Sight UK, which aired in 2023.
Since then, she has become an advocate for the trans community and something of a social media influencer – but that doesn't mean that she's ruled out more television in her future.
During an exclusive interview with Digital Spy last year, Ella addressed the idea of heading into the iconic CBB house. While she admitted that she would "never say no to any challenge", Ella also said that she'd "had enough of cameras around me 24/7" while filming MAFS.
"I mean, now, I love everyone that I had to live with in the experiment, but it was testing at times," she confessed.
That being said, Ella teased that she would "love to do a certain dancing show" instead, "and maybe eat some testicles in the jungle" – so there's still hope for those who are awaiting her TV comeback.
Joey Essex
According to The Sun, the former TOWIE star is apparently at the top of ITV's wish list.
A source is reported to have told the publication: "Joey is hugely popular with the top brass at ITV and they think he would be TV gold on Celeb Big Brother – he's hilarious, very likeable and likely to become one of the favourites to win."
The article adds that Joey was once approached during CBB's Channel 5 days, but never made it to the final line-up. Could 2024 be his time?
Cheddar Gorgeous
The Drag Race UK star exclusively revealed to Digital Spy that she was eyeing up a spot on ITV's first CBB series.
"If the right opportunity on reality TV came up, then I'd absolutely do it," she said.
"I'd probably do Big Brother because I think it's quite interesting," Cheddar added. "I think it gives a lot of opportunity to talk and I like talking and I quite like people.
"So, I feel like that would be a nice one to do because it brings you into a lot of proximity with other people."
Cheddar made a powerful impression during her time on Drag Race, so we think she could do iconic things in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Katie Price
Yes, you're remembering correctly – Katie Price has done the show before. In fact, Price was crowned the winner of the 2015 series, in a finale that also featured Michelle Visage.
It's been reported that she has previously been very open to a Big Brother return in some capacity, and now that the show has officially been rebooted by ITV she's hinted at an appearance once again in a cryptic Instagram Story (via The Sun).
Gyles Brandreth
The Celebrity Gogglebox regular has addressed his possible involvement in this year's Celebrity Big Brother, during a recent appearance on This Morning.
He told hosts Rylan Clark and Josie Gibson that he has been approached by the show in the past.
"Well, I have been asked," Gyles admitted, "Yes I have been asked, but I say no to these things."
That being said, he refused to rule out a future appearance completely – seeming to favour it over other formats like I'm a Celebrity.
Celebrity Big Brother 2024 release date
When is Celebrity Big Brother going to return to ITV?
We've so far only had official confirmation that it's coming at some point in 2o24.
We had previously estimated that it would hit screens around March-time, at the earliest, because of ITV's flagship reality show Love Island.
The dating show's first ever All Stars spin-off has been kicking things off in January, so it was always going to be unlikely that CBB would launch while that show was airing.
How to watch Celebrity Big Brother 2024
Following the success of ITV's first-ever showing of Big Brother, the celebrity version will air on ITV1 (instead of ITV2) with its companion debrief show Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live following on ITV2 and ITVX after every new episode.
The controversial live stream is also set to return, airing seven nights a week on ITVX.
Celebrity Big Brother 2024 hosts
While it's yet to be confirmed by ITV, we'd expect to see AJ Odudu and Will Best – who fronted the Big Brother reboot last year – returning for duty.
The celebrity version was teased during a live eviction, with hosts AJ and Will sharing their excitement, so all signs point to them at this point.
Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother airs on ITV and ITVX.
