The Chase star Paul Sinha has shared a lovely message for fans following his appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox over the weekend.

The star appeared alongside husband Oliver Levy as part of the Channel 4 show's Pride special on Friday (July 1).

Sharing thanks for viewer praise, Paul tweeted yesterday (July 4): "Thanks to those who said nice things about me and the husband on Gogglebox last week. We're an unusual, socially awkward couple, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."

Paul and Oliver appeared alongside the likes of the Heartstopper cast, comedian Mae Martin and Rylan Clark-Neal and his mother Linda.

One particularly moving moment saw the stars watch the coming-out scene from Big Boys, with Heartstopper's Joe Locke admitting he was going to "cry".

Recalling his own coming out, Rylan revealed: "I mean it is nerve-wracking; I ran away for a few hours, didn't I? In a field," with his mum adding: "And it was pissing down with rain."

After the show, Rylan also shared a health update on his mother after fans noticed she had a TPN line.

"Had a lot of people ask, mum is fine, she has a tpn line for a feed… to do with her crohns. V normal. Thanks for asking xx," he said.

Meanwhile, earlier this year Paul rubbished claims of on-set The Chase tantrums concerning himself and fellow Chaser Mark Labbett.

"It shouldn't matter, it's just nonsense. But when you spend your TV career being an obliging yes man with no demands, who just gets on with doing what he's told, it is just so odd to read... I have literally never thrown a fashion-based strop in my life," he said.

Gogglebox airs on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
