This Morning's Alison Hammond has addressed rumours that see her lined up as the next replacement for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield and has explained the reason she doesn't think she'll be considered for the gig.
The presenter appeared this morning on BBC Radio 2's The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, where Ball asked Hammond to respond to some rumours circulating about her.

The host explained that the papers say she is the favourite to take over, should Willoughby and/or Schofield ever step aside.
To that, Hammond replies: "Let me just say, you know what, I don't think Holly and Phillip should go anywhere first of all. And I don't think I would replace them.
"And I'll tell you the reason, mainly because I live in Birmingham it would be too much to go every single day. I think it's a lot what I do anyway. So I wouldn't want to replace Holly and Phil – they are irreplaceable, they're amazing."

Hammond, who finally stepped up to host the Friday editions of the show full-time recently, after being a show favourite for years, recently explained how she almost said no to the This Morning gig.
"I was like, 'No, I'm not doing that. It's massive,'" the star told The Sun. "I'd done Fridays before with Rylan [Clark-Neal], but this was committing to every week. I kept thinking, 'What if I don't want to do that Friday?'
"The whole time at This Morning I could say yes or no and I could get out of it, but now it's 'Fridays are your day'. It was daunting."
This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am on ITV.
