America's Got Talent winner and Stargirl actor Grace VanderWaal showed off a very dramatic new look on Instagram this week that had fans doing a double take.

The singer, who won the US version of Britain's Got Talent aged 12 in 2016, ditched her signature blonde bob for a completely shaved head as she posed with her sister, Olivia VanderWaal.

Grace, who's now 16, had two black lines on her face, one across the top of her nose and another over her left eyebrow. She rocked a black turtleneck jumper and big hoop earrings as she looked at the camera while her sister smiled.

Plenty of fans shared praise in the comments section.

"Absolutely stunning [you're] so amazing know your beautiful inside and out [sic]," another comment read.

She also included a shot of herself in red lighting wearing a black hat and mask while surrounded by lanterns.

Entertainment Tonight reports that Grace shared a video of herself undergoing the transformation earlier this month when she shaved her head with what she claimed were "dog clippers".

The star most recently appeared with her signature longer locks in Disney+'s romcom Stargirl, which hit the steaming service in March.

Grace played main character Susan 'Stargirl' Caraway in the movie, which explores themes of teen's non-conformity and self-expression in high school.

America's Got Talent airs on NBC in the US and on Netflix in the UK. Stargirl is available to watch on Disney+.
