Nikki Bella, Simon Cowell to judge America's Got Talent spin-off

WWE Superstar Nikki Bella will serve as a judge alongside Simon Cowell on a new America's Got Talent spin-off.

AGT: Extreme will see Bella and Cowell on the judging panel with X Games champion Travis Pastrana and Terry Crews, who hosts the regular America's Got Talent, presenting.

Deadline reports that the series is set to launch midseason on NBC and is being produced by Syco Entertainment and Fremantle.

The show will feature 'outrageous and jaw-dropping daredevil acts', with each week contestants going 'head-to-head in the most wild, wacky and craziest stunts to vie for the ultimate title'.

On Twitter, Bella wrote: "So fired up!! Pinch me Terry!! Feel like I'm dreaming! Ready to get EXTREME!!! Bella Army I hope you are ready! Come with me from the WWE ring to the judging table! I'll need you."

Judging alongside Bella isn't Cowell's first brush with WWE. Bizarrely, back in 1993, Cowell served as executive producer of WrestleMania: The Album, which featured wrestlers singing original songs.

Meanwhile, Nikki recently stated that doctors have ruled out her returning to the ring, even though she would love for her son Matteo to watch her wrestle one day.

Appearing on the Sippin' the Tea podcast, Nikki said: "I would love one day, like when Matteo's maybe three, and he knows it, to have my son be ringside while his mum kicks ass. That would be amazing to me.

"But because he is my everything, I have to listen to the doctors and as of now, they've put me on the retired bench for life. So, it would take a lot of scans, x-rays, and all this different stuff for them to actually approve me to have a run and so that would be unlikely – that will be years down the road."
