Zoe Ball has finally had her say about her teenage son Woody Cook flirting with Richard Madeley on national TV.

Woody has spent the last several weeks as a contestant on The Circle, which also featured Richard Madeley as a celebrity catfish for the first week of the competition.

In one of the most memorable scenes of the series, 18-year-old Woody tried wooing 27-year-old Judy – totally unaware that it was actually the Good Morning Britain presenter passing himself off as a woman.

That awkward moment was revisited during Friday's live finale (October 18) when presenter Emma Willis was interviewing Woody, and mentioned she had a question for his mum… Strictly: It Takes Two presenter Zoe Ball!

Of course, Emma wanted to know what it was like for her to watch her teenage son unknowingly put the moves on the former host of Richard and Judy.

"It was wrong on so many levels, yet utterly compelling," Zoe joked. "It was like, 'No, don't go there!'"

In a slightly less awkward moment, Zoe also shared how much she loved seeing Woody forming friendships with fellow players Tim Wilson and Ella May.

"Ella and Tim, they had your back all the time. I'm really proud of you, babe."

Getting back to that uncomfortable flirting, Madeley himself admitted how icky it made him feel when he came out of the apartment (not house) a few weeks back.

"Now that would be seriously pervy, wouldn't it? Woody had a little flirt with Judy," Richard joked to Emma on a live show.

Thankfully, everything turned out okay for Woody in the end… even though he finished fifth overall in Friday's final. Paddy Smyth was ultimately announced as the winner.

The Circle aired its second series on Channel 4.
