While here in the UK we're currently being treated to a rare autumn edition of Britain's Got Talent as The Champions plays out on Saturday nights, across the pond it's business as usual as series 14 of America's Got Talent continues on towards its grand finale.
But before they can crown a winner, the show needs to firm up its finalists and, after this week's first live semi-final and first live elimination show, America's Got Talent has confirmed the first five acts that will be performing for a chance to win the $1 million prize.
Along with guest judge Will & Grace star Sean Hayes, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough were all back for this week's live shows, which saw 11 acts compete for a place in the final.

And the successful acts were quite the mixed bunch, with violinist Tyler Butler-Figueroa, 14-year-old singer Benicio Bryant, light-up dance group Light Balance Kids, singer and pianist Kodi Lee and winner of the Judges' Choice Ndlovu Youth Choir all making it through to final.
This meant that the series said goodbye to acts including 12-year-old singer Ansley Burns, who Simon Cowell had a habit of cutting off mid-song, and magician Eric Chien, as well as acrobatic act the Messoudi Brothers, singer Robert Finley, comedienne Jackie Fabulous and impressionist Greg Morton.

Here in Britain, we've also been confirming our ... Got Talent finalists, with the first finalists of The Champions series being named on Saturday (August 31).
Someone who didn't quite make the cut was original BGT winner Paul Potts, who later said that he blames himself for not progressing in the competition after Simon Cowell called his performance "shaky".
"I blamed myself," he wrote on Twitter. "I self analyse after every performance and I can pick out every error. My job is to do everything I can to avoid slipping up due to these things including technical issues."
Still, he wasn't too fussed about the whole thing, later adding: "The show is more about celebrating success than a competition."
America's Got Talent airs on NBC in the US and on Netflix in the UK. Britain's Got Talent: The Champions airs on Saturdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
