Love Island winner Kem Cetinay dropped some juicy info on This Morning today about the show's filming schedule.

Speaking about his time on the show last year, Kem revealed that the islanders get Saturdays off, giving them a chance to temporarily escape the spotlight.

"They get one day off a week. What happens is it gives them a day to clean the villa and you take your mics off and normally we go to the beach and we just chill out."

Of course, going to the beach together without mics sounds like a potential nightmare fraught by backstabbing and scheming. Or just doing bits.

But Kem insisted that there are strict rules.

"Not a lot of people know this. What happens is when you take your mics off, you’re not allowed to talk about anything to do with the show."

"You’ve got to talk about home life. You’re being watched by an evil hawk, by the producers because they don’t want you to talk about what’s going on."

Less chilling with sea life and more with evil hawk producers, then. But it's still a bit of a break, says Kem.

"It’s more a day off from all the intense games, all the intense dates, deciding who you like and don’t like."

Many fans won't be hearing this for the first time though, as former contestant Chris Hughes previously revealed the weekly break...

"Once a week we were allowed to leave the villa and weren’t filmed so none of the viewers would ever know" (via the Metro).

"There was a day every week when footage wasn’t needed, which was liberating as you could talk about anything."

Seems like Kem and Chris might have been told different rules, then...
