Channel 5 infamously benched Big Brother after spending most of 2018 looking for the next big telly format to win back viewers. People of earth, we present to you: The Bachelor UK.
Seven years after the US phenomenon was last on UK screens, it's back and cringier than ever in a promo released on Tuesday (February 26).
And wow, it's really something, as you can see for yourself below:
Channel 5 isn't even bothering to hype the romance part of The Bachelor or luxurious getaway dates like American network ABC does. Instead, C5 is going all in on a montage of the furious bachelorettes shoving and threatening to glass each other.
Within the span of a few seconds, two bachelorettes collide and one storms out threatening to quit, all while hapless Bachelor Alex looks like he'd prefer not to have to give roses to any of them!
"Not sure I would wish this on a worst enemy," Alex complains.

Good luck with the marriage proposal at the end of the series, buddy! The unlucky person who has to wrangle all of these firecrackers is The Bachelor UK host Mark Wright, who admittedly has some experience with tipsy types from his years on TOWIE.
Mark recently left his cushy job in Hollywood interviewing the most famous celebs in the world on Extra to come back home for what he probably assumed would be an equally-cushy job reviving The Bachelor UK.
"It just feels like the right time to come back to the UK and live here with my wife and family," he said.
"I’ll always be grateful to the show Extra for the amazing opportunity they gave me. I loved my time at Extra and I love my bosses, who I’ve left on great terms with, so I look forward to working with them more in the future."
We won't speculate yet on if he's already started calling Extra back after dealing with these Bachelor contestants…
The Bachelor UK returns on Monday, March 4 at 10pm.
