Dancing on Ice judge Ashley Banjo has revealed who's lined up to replace him if he has to suddenly quit the show one week.

The Diversity dancer, who won Britain's Got Talent in 2009, is expecting his first child with wife Francesca Abbott.

Speaking on Lorraine, Ashley joked that if Francesca goes into labour while he's filming the show, he's got his Diversity friends on standby.

"I'll have to get Perri [Kiely] in," he said. "Perri or Jordan [Banjo] to sit there. On standby!"

He also spoke about his "baby Banjo" excitement, explaining: "There's no number.

"Honestly, it's already quite surreal for me to think there's a little baby Banjo on the way, little girl."

He also spoke about this year's best celebrity performance so far, noting: "I don't think I've ever seen a week one like James Jordan.

"I can't believe what he did week one – Jason [Gardiner] gave him an 8! What does that tell you?

"He's set his bar extremely high! He works so hard, I know he does, so good on him."

This year's series of DoI features TOWIE's Gemma Collins, Love Island's Wes Nelson, ex-Pussycat Dolls member Melody Thornton, soap star Mark Little and more.

In week one, viewers saw only six of the dancing pairs and the remaining six pairs will hit the rink in this week's episode.

Dancing on Ice continues on Sunday (January 13) at 6pm on ITV.
