The X Factor winner Dalton Harris may have been a clear favourite from more or less the start of the show, but the singer has admitted that it didn't always feel like smooth sailing from his point of view.
Speaking to Graham Norton on his Radio 2 show this morning (December 8), Dalton revealed that there were times that he struggled with whether he was supposed to be on the show at all, especially when he compared himself to the other finalists.
"Everybody seemed to be doing better than I was," Dalton told Graham when he was asked if he was worried for any of the other younger, less-experienced acts during the live shows.
"I was the one that – socially, it's different for me. In a social setting I'll observe for 30 days before I say a single word, because I just don't want to add something negative to a situation, or whatever.
"Everybody was fine. I think I was the one there struggling and wondering if I was supposed to be there, kind of, for a while."

While Dalton then added that it was "good" it didn't come across that way on TV, he continued: "Now that it’s over, I can say, yeah I struggled with wondering if I should have been there."
Of course, Dalton did manage to secure the victory, and his first single 'The Power of Love' – a duet with former X Factor winner James Arthur – is out now, with all UK record company profits from the track going to children's hospice charities Together for Short Lives and Shooting Star Chase.
Speaking about his time on The X Factor, Dalton also had a lot of good things to say about his mentor, Louis Tomlinson, adding that they "worked perfectly together".
"I remember the first two live shows, I walked in with songs I wanted to sing, and it was like, 'Nope!'" he said, laughing. "The songs they presented were way better than the ones I walked in with."
