Stephanie has hinted that she wants to take over from Barbara Windsor as the matriarch of EastEnders.
In a conversation with the housemates, the Dynasty actress suggested that she would like the role of the Queen Vic landlady, according to PA.
She said: "Barbara Windsor's leaving so I think they might be looking for someone else with fluffy hair to fill her shoes."
Stephanie guest starred in Coronation Street as Martha Fraser, a love interest for Ken Barlow, for four months last year.
Of her Corrie stint, the Bad Girls star commented: "I turned down being Ken Barlow's love interest and nearly 50 years later I turn up on a canal boat as Ken Barlow's love interest."
After her housemates remarked that several major celebrities have made guest appearances in the Manchester-based soap, Stephanie claimed that many stars are "clamouring" to do it now.
